Participants do not have to be in the same place, or even the same state. Each person is collected near where they live and the laboratory still produces one report.
Open your test request and tell us your ZIP code there. Collection locations are confirmed after your request is reviewed by Divine DNA — usually within one business day, and nothing is charged until your collection location is confirmed.
Collection sites are assigned per case so that your appointment, your collector and your paperwork all match the case on file.
Check whether mobile collection is available in your area.
Infants, hospital patients, people in a correctional facility — all mobile collections.
This is the part most people do not expect. A father in Georgia and a child in Texas can be collected at two different centers on two different days, and the laboratory still produces one report. You are not required to travel to each other.
A collection is a soft swab rubbed against the inside of the cheek for a few seconds per person. It is not a blood draw. It does not hurt, and we collect from newborns regularly.
On legal tests the collector checks photo identification, photographs the participant, witnesses the collection and seals the specimens in tamper-evident packaging. That documentation is what makes the report admissible.
Every participant is scheduled separately and confirmed separately. Your case file shows you who has been collected and who has not, in real time.
